Technical Data (25°C, 50% humidity) :
Basis: MS polymer (moisture-curing) Density: Approx. 1,57 g/ml Skin formation time: Approx. 10 – 15 minutes Curing: Approx. 3 mm/24 hours Shore hardness A: Approx. 55 (DIN 53505) Elastic modulus 100%: 1,4 N/mm2 (DIN 53504) Tensile strength: 2,2 N/mm2 (DIN 53504) Elongation at break: Approx. 335% (DIN 53504) Processing temperature: minimum + 5 °C to a maximum + 35 °C Temperature resistance: minimum - 40 °C to a maximum + 90 °C
Advantages:
Quick full curing • Universally applicable • Resistant to salt water, fresh water and moisture • Wide adhesion spectrum on many surfaces without primer • Permanently elastic • High mechanical resistance • Almost odourless • Recoatability wet in wet (due to the high number of systems on the market, pre-testing necessary) • Free of isocyanate and silicone • High initial adhesion • Resistant to water • Well suited for the absorption of acoustic noise and vibration
Application Areas:
Installation and construction adhesive to bond mirrors, natural stones, plaster, PSPU, PVC, diverse plastics, enamel copper, lead, zinc, aluminium, stainless steel, HPL panels, cement fibre panels, colour codes, wood, glass ,etc.
Sealant for bodywork (vehicles) and metal joints (air ducts). Metal adhesive (able to resist vibrations).
Application conditions:
The product can be applied with good adhesion on a high number of materials, paint or vanishing systems, metals, glass, mirrors, ceramics and diverse plastics, without priming. The surface needs to be clean and free of grease and dust (use WIKO plastic cleaner respectively WIKO metal cleaner). Please consider our list of pre-treatment possibilities listed in the WIKO – catalogue for potential pre-treatment possibilities. Due to the high number of different surfaces, the adhesion quality should be determined by a performance test.
Apply the material with a suited dispensing system and process the MS Polymer with the counterpart material within the skin formation time. The layer of the material should be adapted to the maximal expected strength and joint movement. A fixing of the bond is recommended until the material is fully cured. The curing depends on the thickness of the layer, the temperature and the humidity.
Clean unmeant impurities of the working equipment immediately after usage with WIKO plastic cleaner (Item no.: AKSR.D500 or WIKO metal cleaner (Item no.: AMTR.D500).
Restrictions: Not suited for PE, PC, PP, PMMA, PTFE, neoprene, bituminous surfaces and bonding under water.
